To get to La Chiva, first you have to make your way to Isla de Vieques. There's a ferry from Fajardo that regularly transports visitors to the island from mainland Puerto Rico. You can also take a short flight from San Juan International Airport, or Isla Grande Airport in San Juan, or from Ceiba International Airport on the eastern side of the country. When you get into the island, hold on to your men's trunks first. You'll have to ride a Jeep or a 4WD vehicle before you can get to Blue Beach and enjoy everything it has to offer. With its crystal clear waters that turn turquoise as they go deeper and fine white sand, Blue Beach is the perfect spot for those who want to enjoy some peace and quiet. Being here is like being transported back in time. There are a lot of wide open spaces, with a few grass beds scattered here and there, making it a great place to take photographs and Instagram shots.
