So here is a list of Top 10 Gold Coast Beaches to try out your favorite mens board shorts. You’re welcome.
1. Surfers Paradise, the most famous of Gold Coast Beaches
Surfers Paradise is exactly that, heaven to surfers. But surfing isn’t all there is to this beautiful beach. It has something for everyone. It has a rich history and boasts of the largest night life in Queensland. It is centrally located and has easily accessible transport options around town.
2. Burleigh Heads
Burleigh Heads had to make our list of Top 10 Gold Coast beaches. This beach has a laid-back vibe to it. You could wander from the pretty eateries to the farmer’s market to the hand-made jewelry stores and end up taking a dip in the waters of Tallebudgera Creek.
3. Main beach
A visit to the beach is not complete without pictures, and Main beach might just be the most photogenic spot for pictures. One of the main (no pun intended) attractions about Main Beach is the beach itself. It houses an old bathing pavilion, called Pavilion 34 which has been redone into a casual beach café complete with chikko rolls, potato scallops, pineapple fritters and fish and chips. Foodies hiya!
4. Coolangatta Beach
Coolangata Beach got its name from a topsail schooner which wrecked there in 1846. That’s some rich history right? A walk along the beach to Snapper Rocks improves your chances of seeing the whales on their annual migration throughout the cooler parts of the year.
5. Currumbin Beach
Currumbin Beach is another picture-perfect beach. If scenery could inspire, then this beach would be it. Currumbin is so beautiful you could get deep inspirations just from looking around. It’s a family-friendly beachfront where the beautiful Currumbin Creek waterway links to the pristine rainforest mountains that are in the west of it.
6. Tallebudgera Creek
Ancient Aboriginal people used to call this Gold Coast beach “good fish” and this name still holds true till today. The beach has a laid-back family friendly vibe which makes it one of the perfect spots for camping, swimming, picnicking, kayaking and fishing.
7. Broadbeach
Good food anyone? Broadbeach is home to every kind of food you can think of. There are gourmet delis and bistros everywhere you look! You’ll also find the Gold Coast Convention and Exhibition Centre that boasts of international and Australian recording artists.
8. Snapper Rocks
Snapper Rocks is hands down Gold Coast’s most popular surf beach. The Superbank is famous for being one of the constant breaks in Queensland. 9. Nobby Beach
According to history books, Nobby was the name of a bullock who went missing and got found in this location. We are thankful that this directionally challenged bullock had a fancy name. Nobby beach is another family friendly spot that is home to boutiques, playground, and a barbecue facility.
10. South Stradbroke Island
Our list of Top 10 Gold Coast Beaches won’t be complete without this last one. The name of this beach is quite a mouthful, so it’s no surprise that locals have resorted to calling it ‘South Straddie’. South Straddie is the perfect location for a getaway weekend. It offers swimming, exhilarating surfing, beautiful sights to walk through. It has a 1800-hectare conservation park which is ideal for hiking, rock climbing and ocean fishing.
